Knoxville Zoo Offers Special Admission for Recycling Phone Books
Sponsored by AT&T Real Yellow Pages

January 9, 2009
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—
This month it is easier to let your feet do the walking at Knoxville Zoo thanks to AT&T Real Yellow Pages. The zoo and AT&T are partnering together to sponsor the annual phone book recycling program at the zoo.

From January 5 through January 31, guests can bring an outdated phone book to the zoo and receive special admission. For each outdated phone book, guests will receive one-free admission ticket with the purchase of another. Currently, the zoo is offering half-price admission for all visitors during Penguin Discount Days, which means with a phone book to recycle admission is buy one at half-price, get one free.

Now is a great time to visit Knoxville Zoo. Animals are often more active and playful during cooler temperatures. Because zoo attendance is slower this time of year, the animals are often excited to see and interact with visitors.

The zoo is proud to be working with AT&T Real Yellow Pages as a location to recycle old phone books. Part of the zoo’s mission is to develop positive attitudes and actions about nature and conservation as a local and global issue. The zoo recycling program adds to AT&T’s other numerous local recycling efforts across the southeast. In addition, each copy of AT&T Real Yellow Pages includes information on recycling, and each book is made from an average of 44 percent recycled materials.

AT&T Real Yellow Pages directories are recyclable, and the paper used to print the directories contains recycled materials. The remaining paper fiber comes from residual sawdust created through lumber processing operations.  Residents and businesses can visit Keep America Beautiful online at http://www.kab.org for recycling information in this community. AT&T Advertising Solutions offers the most effective, full suite of advertising search products that enables advertisers to connect with potential customers anytime, anywhere. In addition to our print directories, we provide search information through YELLOWPAGES.COM, RealPagesLive.com, YPmobile, YP411 and more. Combined, these print and online products receive more than 5 billion consumer searches a year for local business information and provide more than 1 million advertisers with valuable sales leads to help their businesses grow.

Sponsors include AT&T Real Yellow Pages, Keep Knoxville Beautiful and Advanced Polymer Recycling. This promotion is not valid with any other coupon or offer and ends Jan. 31, 2008.

Knoxville Zoo is located off exit 392A from Interstate 40 and is open every day except Christmas Day. The zoo is nationally accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and is committed to the highest standards in animal care and well-being, ethics, conservation, and education. Currently, the zoo is open every day from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.  Admission and ticket sales stop one hour before the zoo closes. Next-day admission is free after 3:00 p.m. For more information, please call 865.637.5331 ext. 300 or visit www.knoxville-zoo.org.
