KNOXVILLE, Tenn.— Feel like doing a little grazing, trying out a new watering hole, and shaking your tail feathers? Join Knoxville Zoo for Feast with the Beasts on Saturday, August 15, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m.
Feast with the Beasts is Knoxville’s “wildest” party, where guests can eat, drink and dance their way throughout the zoo for the evening. No need to forage for food; more than 25 restaurants, wineries, breweries and distributors will be on hand sampling some very tasty food and drink. Adventurous eaters can enjoy a variety of cuisines to suit all types of palates. Participating vendors include The Crown and Goose, Highland Brewing Company, Bayou Bay Seafood House, Puleo’s Grille, Texas Roadhouse, Woodruff Brewing Company, O’Charley’s, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, and Smoky Mountain Brewery.
The feasting wouldn’t be half as much fun without the dancing, and two of Knoxville’s musical favorites will be on hand to keep the festivities lively. The Lonesome Coyotes will bring their honky-tonk charm to the Kids Cove Stage and Dave Landeo promises to wow the crowd with the talents that have won him numerous awards as Knoxville’s “Best Male Vocalist” on the Plaza Stage. Another crowd favorite has returned this year, too; the zoo’s chapter of the American Association of Zookeepers (AAZK) will be hosting their famous silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind animal art and great gift packages.
Tickets for Feast with the Beasts are $60 per person in advance and $70 the day of the event. Zoo members receive a $5 discount. Want to bring the whole herd? Buy nine tickets and get the tenth ticket free! Tickets are on sale at area ORNL Federal Credit Union branches, area Pilot stores, and Knoxville Zoo’s ticket window during zoo hours. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.knoxville-zoo.org or by calling (865) 637-5331.
