KNOXVILLE, Tenn.— Don’t miss the chance to own an original work by some of the “biggest” names in the art world. The Elephant Managers Association is hosting an online auction featuring one-of-a-kind art created by elephants from across the U.S. and Canada. The Elephant Art Auction is going on now through August 23, and items up for bid can be previewed on the auction web site. All artwork up for bid are original pieces painted by elephants. Items include striking paintings done on canvas and a colorful variety of birdhouses, ostrich eggs, vases, kitchen items, t-shirts for children and adults, and tote bags. Knoxville Zoo’s elephants are represented in the auction offerings, featuring a painted garden stepping stone by Tonka, and clocks with faces painted by Jana and Edie. The auction makes shopping for your favorite elephant lover easier than ever!
The Elephant Art Auction is sponsored by the Elephant Managers Association, an international non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of the world’s elephants. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the conservation efforts of the Elephant Managers Association and the International Elephant Foundation (IEF). Knoxville Zoo is located off exit 392 from Interstate 40 and is open every day except Christmas Day.
