
The Covenant Kids Run "marathon" program will begin on Saturday, February 4th, at the Knoxville Zoo. Registration will take place from 10:30 am - 11:45 am, with the kids starting their one mile run through the Zoo grounds at noon. While we will take registrations at the gate to the zoo, all children who are already registered for the March 31 Covenant Kids Run will already be registered for the February 4th Zoo Run as well.
Each child that registers for the Feb 4th Zoo kickoff will get a free ticket to the visit the Zoo after the event. In addition, for every child that is registered, one accompanying adult will also receive free admission to the Zoo. Any additional adults can receive half price admission to the Zoo that day.
Upon completion of their first mile on February 4th, each child will receive a goody bag that includes a mileage log. They can then track each addtional mile over the course of the next two months, with their final mile being the March 31 Covenant Kids Run!

Knoxville Zoo is hiring friendly people to fill seasonal positions at their annual Job Fair, which will be held on Saturday, February 18, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Lee Congleton Conference Center, located on zoo grounds.
Seasonal positions are available in the zoo's Guest Services department, including retail sales, food service, carousel ride operations and ticket sales.
First-round interviews will be conducted at the Job Fair. Some positions will begin work immediately and others will start on a staggered schedule throughout the late winter and early spring. Those interested in attending the Job Fair should come to the Ranger Station, to the right of the zoo's main entrance, for directions to the Lee Congleton Conference Center.
Most positions require applicants who are 16-years or older, although some positions are available for applicants who are 15-years-old. Seniors and retirees are encouraged to apply as well. Weekend and holiday hours are required.
