Knoxville Zoo can be a tremendous resource for students. Make the  most of your visit with a Learning Program! Choose from a wide variety of fun-filled topics that will enhance your students experience and fulfill Tennessee State Standards at the same time.  Learning Tours Topics

Programs are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis and are subject to availability. Request a Learning Program on your School Group Reservation Form or fill out Onsite Reservation Form 2011-12 , and you'll be contacted to confirm your date and time.

 

Learning Tours are $1.00 per attendee (students, teachers and parents) for a 45-minute tour. There is a minimum charge of $25 regardless of group size.

For only $1.00 per attendee (students, teachers and parents) your group will learn about your chosen topic in a classroom setting! Lasting 45 minutes, this program will also allow your students to get close and personal with some of our program animals while they learn. There is a minimum charge of $25 regardless of group size.

If you are strapped for time, this is the program for you! $1.00 per attendee (students, teachers and parents) allows your group to get up close and personal with one of our animals during a 15-minute program. Additional animals are an extra $1.00 per person. There is a minimum charge of $25.00 regardless of group size.

For all programs the maximum group size is 35. This allows each student a more personal experience. If your group is over 35, you must register for a second class. A second group (same day, same organization) will NOT need to pay a minimum charge.

All program fees will be paid separately from your zoo admission. Payment will be given to your tour instructor, who will give you a receipt.
