Q. How can I purchase
a Knoxville Zoo membership?

At the Zoo
Purchase your membership during your next visit to the
Zoo. The membership booth is open 7 days a week from 9:30
a.m. to 5 p.m. The membership booth is located at the
front gate of the zoo on the left. You will receive your
membership card the same day. We accept American Express,
Discover, MasterCard, Visa and checks (made payable to
Knoxville Zoo).

Purchases by phone will be accepted with a major credit
card or a visa check card. Phone orders are usually processed
and mailed within 2-5 days.

Note: Benefits
membership prices and categories are subject to change at
any time without notice at zoo's discretion. Please
allow 2-3 weeks for processing. If you need faster
service, please order by telephone or visit the zoo's front
gate for instant service.
Q. Is my membership
good from the time of purchase or for a calendar year?
Your membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
In fact we extend your membership through the end of the month
that you purchased it. Example: If you purchase your membership
on April 5, your membership will not expire until April
30 of the following year, so you receive a full 12 + months
of Knoxville Zoo fun!
Q. Can I visit Knoxville
Zoo before I receive my membership card?
If you think that you will be coming to Knoxville Zoo before
you receive your membership card we ask that you please wait
and purchase your membership at the Front gate.
Q. How many membership
cards will I receive?
All Knoxville Zoo Memberships come with one membership card.
You may purchase an additional card at any time during your
current membership year for a $5 fee per card.
Q. Can I lend my membership
card to a friend or family member?
No, but you can encourage them to join as well. Memberships
are nontransferable and are valid only for those individuals
listed on the card, along with their dependent unmarried children
ages 0-18. Remember, a photo I.D. is required to enter the
Zoo.
Q. Who is included on
a 2-Parent family membership?
Two specified adults and up to 4 unmarried dependent children
living in your household between the ages of 0-18. Additional
children may be added to a 2-Parent family membership for
a $10 fee per child; additional children must be your
dependent unmarried children.
Q. How do I add extra
guests to my membership?
You can now expand your Knoxville Zoo benefits,
by adding a guest to you membership for $25. You may bring
a guest with you every time you visit the zoo. Guest must
come with membership family. Limit one Add a Guest
per membership.
Q. How can I replace
a lost or stolen membership card?
If your membership card is lost or stolen please call the
membership department at 865-637-5331 ext. 305 so that they
may note your records. You may purchase a replacement card
on your next visit to Knoxville Zoo for a $5 fee per card.
You must present a picture I.D. to purchase a replacement
card.
Q. Why do I have to
show a photo ID with my membership card?
Knoxville Zoo is a nonprofit organization that relies heavily
on membership and attendance for support; we must prevent
misuse of membership cards. We also want to protect our members
should their cards be lost or stolen.
Q. I've already renewed
my membership, but I continue to receive renewal notices.
Should I be concerned?
If you have recently renewed your Knoxville Zoo membership
and you have received at least 2 renewal notices since your
renewal please contact the membership department at 865-637-5331
ext. 305.
Q. Is my membership
payment tax-deductible?
No. Knoxville Zoo memberships are not tax-deductible because
you receive more than the value of your membership
.
Q. Can I use my Knoxville
Zoo membership card at other zoos and aquariums?
Yes! Knoxville Zoo participates in a reciprocal program with
over 150 zoos and aquariums in the US and Canada.

that each zoo participates with either free or discounted
admission. We recommend that you contact the zoo or aquarium
prior to your visit for complete information regarding their
policies.
Q. I have received my
membership card, how do I know who is allowed in on my card?
It depends on what membership package you have purchased.
Example: If you have a 2-Parent Family membership only the
two adults that are named on the membership card and the number
of children under each age category will be allowed entrance.
Q. Are strollers and
wheelchairs available for rent?
Yes, strollers and wheelchairs are located inside the front
gate entrance on the right. Single Strollers are $6 plus
tax, and double strollers are $8 plus tax. Regular wheelchairs
are $5 plus tax for the whole day and Motorized wheelchairs
are $20 plus tax for the whole day. Motorized wheelchairs are
limited and are on first come first serve basis.
