We hope you would like to join us in celebrating our natural world by participating in an art project to benefit recycling efforts. We invite you and your team to be exhibitors at Knoxville Zoo's new and exciting event. The Barrel Project will give students a chance to show off their artistic abilities while educating the community about the importance of conservation.

Teams will design and paint a conservation/environmental theme on provided barrels. The revitalized barrels will be displayed at the zoo for the first time during Party for the Planet, April 27. Selected projects will later be used on zoo grounds for recycling receptacles.

Teams will receive free admission to Party for the Planet to cheer on their creations as the public and the zoo's Green Team chose winners to experience behind the scenes encounters with some of our most interesting animals and their keepers.

*Registration is due by March 31. Barrels must be picked up from Knoxville Zoo by April 5. Completed projects will be brought back by April 26.

Party for the Planet is the Association of Zoos and Aquariums annual Earth Day celebration to engage visitors about conserving the environment and the importance of the Earth's diverse inhabitants.
