Camel Rides
Kids and adults can hop on the back of a camel and enjoy riding these  "ships of the desert." Camel rides are now open daily, weather permitting.
Cost: $5


Carousel Rides
Open daily, weather permitting.
$1 members
$2 non-members

$5 wristbands good for unlimited carousel rides on the date of purchase.


Einstein is star of the zoo's bird show.Bird Shows
Sit down, relax, and experience beautiful birds from all around the world for free. These interesting creatures will help our trainers show you how they live and survive in the wild. Some may even fly only inches from your head. You may meet a barred owl, an African crowned crane, or Einstein, an African gray parrot with quite a vocabulary. Shows are subject to cancellation due to weather and are presented in the News Sentinel Amphitheatre.

Bird Shows are every day at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.
. There are no Bird Shows on Mondays.


Zoo Encounters
Zoo Encounters are 10-15 minute talks by zoo staff that get visitors "involved" in learning and give everyone time to ask lots of questions. They are fun, informative and interactive. Join us for one or stay for all of them, you won't be sorry! Zoo Encounters are finished for the season.


Knoxville Zoo has several Zoo Chats daily to inform guests about the animals.Zoo Chats
Look for the yellow and red Zoo Chat signs throughout the zoo for free, fun and informative animal presentations by the people who know them best- Zookeepers! Any programs may be cancelled due to weather or animal-related problems without notice. Zoo Chats are finished for the season.
