Come have fun with frogs and all of their fabulous friends at Toadally Frogs at Knoxville Zoo this spring. The Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) is highlighting 2008 as the Year of the Frog to mark a major conservation effort to address the amphibian extinction crisis. The Year of the Frog is also meant to engage the public in amphibian conservation and to raise funds for AZA amphibian conservation efforts into the future. To do our part, Knoxville Zoo is introducing a new exhibit featuring fabulous frogs and their friends.
At this brand new exhibit, you can get to know your backyard neighbors in our backyard. Play at our ‘toadally hoppin’ pad inside the exhibit. Visit with our chorus of croakers and learn how to bellow like a bullfrog and talk like a toad. This ribbit exhibit will also include some close friends of the toads and frogs including naked mole rats, salamanders, mudpuppies and more!
The exhibit is now open.
