Zoofari, Knoxville Zoo's most important fundraiser, is held on the first Saturday in June. Guests enjoy a seated dinner, wild music, and a unique-to-the-zoo live auction. The event's generous community supporters help provide food, care, and enrichment for Knoxville Zoo's animals.

2007 marked the 20th anniversary of Zoofari. The Cajun-themed event coincided with the white alligator on exhibit from summer 2007 through Labor Day. More than 400 guests enjoyed live music by Stretta and auction packages that included weekend getaways, original artwork, and animal naming opportunities.
